İlkin was born and raised in United Kingdom who moved to Cyprus at a young age where he later studied and earned a degree in Educational Sciences. After his bachelor, he moved to Ohio, United States of America and earned his Masters Degree in Human Resources Development. Following his education, in 2005 he started working at Eastern Mediterranean University as a Research Assistant building his experience and career before moving to a senior position at Girne American University where he mastered his expertise in Human Resources. This gave him a unique opportunity to move to Germany with his young family to work for one of Europe’s leading scientific organisations, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory.
In recruitment, İlkin led a small team where he was responsible for all the organisation for inviting and organising travel, accommodation, scheduling and interviewing for scientists from all over the world. İlkin utilised this duty for 9+ years at top level working closely together with some of the most highly ranked and recognised senior scientists in the world. Following this incredible life experience working for such a world-famous scientific organisation, İlkin moved back to his beautiful home country, Cyprus, together with his wife and three children. Here, he found the opportunity to help and be part of something amazing again for the better good of humanity.
